What I'm Wearing #002

After climbing to the top of the Pavillion Noir in Aix, me and Myfanwy took a few minutes to catch our breath and Alex took some photos for my second daytime wear post. As I have mentioned before, blazers are a god-send, and this pastel pink one is no exception. I really do think H & M is the best for value for blazers, it may even beat Topshop (a rarity for me....) This pale pink really does go with anything, and it's so light that it's perfect for summer, but can be layered up too. 

I have spent many years in black body con skirts, as far as I can remember (it's amazing how many I have lost), so I decided to branch out and buy a striped one. It's difficult to wear, since it is cream and black, but it's cheap and comfy, perfect.

I am a bit annoyed that this top is so sheer, sheers tops beg the question "hmmm what can I wear under this so it's not see through?" I find that if I am spending a fair bit of money on a top, I don't want to have to buy another special top to wear under it. Tricky. Zara is a fiend for this!

What are your thoughts? Does this "sheer top" problem annoy you? Or do you just go for it!

Weekend Wishlist #005

Eeek, I am a bit late with this Weekend Wishlist. Had a busy weekend and only really just sat down now. 

There are quite a few pastels in the wishlist, but I seriously need to branch out of my dark grungy colours into more spring trends...i.e pastels! These shoes are amazing, it would be quite hard to keep them nice though, but what a statement they would make. Then, if you are buying new shoes, why not got a pastel watch to match? This colour is temporarily out of stock on ASOS, but I am sure it will come back, if not there are a few other lovely colours to choose from. 

I have been looking out for a denim jacket for a while, annoyingly I took my beloved Levi jacket back to England just in time for perfect denim jacket weather. This dip dye one is so cute, but for £45 I just can't justify it, so if you buy it, don't tell me, please.

Everyone who is anyone has been beauty blogging about this tattoo eye cream by Mabelline, and I just have to get my hands on some and some on my eyes. Since I rarely use eye shadow, purely for the reason I often smudge it throughout the day, the word "tattoo" caught my eye. For £4.99 it's hard not too!

Wow is all I have to say for the stunning pink blazer. Again, it is sold out, but hopefully it will come back in stock because this blazer can jazz up any little black dress or just team it with a white t-shirt and a pair of skinny jeans for a chic daytime look, perfect!

Totally Tropical

Make room for these statement colours and prints in your wardrobe! I first took heed of the new tropical trend when I saw Jessie J clad in the River Island tropical gear (and boy could she pull it off!). She teamed matching trousers with the blazer I have picked for my tropical wishlist, but if it's a bit much for you, do one or the other. 

I love these RI wedges (mainly because wedges are just so easy to walk in), but if the colours are a bit too much for you, they have PLENTY more wedges for you to pine after.

What are your thoughts on this tropical trend? Do you like this fruity fashion, or are you going to stick to your pastels and Aztec?

What I'm Wearing #001

This is my everyday look and my very natural style. I am a massive fan of a blazer, they are just so practical. It was quite a nice day in Aix-en-Provence, hence the sunnies being cracked out. 

The weather has quite drastically changed from jeans and a blazer weather, to shorts and sun tan lotion weather. So I am afriad this jacket will have to go into early retirement, sad as it is one of my favourite items I have bought from H & M in a long time! Every time I go to buy a jacket, I am drawn to the blazers. But they are perfect for day wear AND night out wear, (always thinking of the pennies.)

My absolute favourite accessory at the moment is this barbed wire necklace, it just makes a normal looking outfit that little bit more fierce. 

And of course, who could forget my Longchamp bag. A french MUST HAVE accessory. It really is so practical, annoyingly there are no pockets inside it, but I presume that's to make it easier to pack up, as it is meant to be a travel bag. If you are going to France any time soon, I recommend buying one (perfect excuse to go shopping), as it's very French chic.

Weekend Wishlist #004

It's been too long since I have done a Weekend Wishlist, which is odd as there are so many things which I am currently caving. However, I managed to cut them down into these lovely six.

1. Printed clothes are making a huge comeback, I am not a fan of printed trousers (and am very jealous when people manage to pull them off) and this printed shirt is as daring as I will go. 

2. Already done a post on crosses, however I am yet to purchase any jewellery with them on. This necklace from UO is affordable and is great for day and night wear.

3. This was on my Christmas Wishlist, but sadly it was sold out when Santa went to get it for me. I drooled over it when I had a look in the MAC shop in Aix, the marble texture is really beautiful on. There are so many different colours in it that it changes whenever the light hits it. Beautiful.

4. Is it obvious I am into my cami slips at the moment? Why wouldn't I be. Just look at them!

5. High Tops have been high on my wishlist since November, but I just cannot justify buying a pair when I am living in the South of France. They just aren't a sensible purchase with the sun...but a girl can lust. 

6. This top caught my eye when I was checking out New Look's Limited range. The pastel colours are in at the moment and the two tone style of the shirt makes it different from everything else. I love it.

Spring Dresses

Spring is on it's way! I have been obsessed with checking my weather app everyday and it promises that the weather is going to get better and getter. So, in order to prepare for this promised sunshine, I must buy lots of lovely little light dresses. 

Keeping my eyes peeled for light cami style dresses, I noticed that a lot of the material that River Island use for dresses is quite thick, too thick for me. However, I found this little number (6) and for only £16 as well! I have it in black, but the actual colour of this dress is very pink. It's so cute and can be worn with anything!

My favourite out of all of my picks is the Topshop skater cami slip, but for £68 you would have to wear the life out of it. The mix of colours are a perfect reminder that spring and summer are round the corner, but the style and material of the dress mean it can be worn all through the year.

Grunge

90s grunge is returning to the streets. This excites me greatly and I cannot wait to delve into the depths of my wardrobe and fish out my collection of scruffy baggy t-shirts and heavy jewellery. After a long and lustful browse on the internet, I managed to narrow my wish list to my top 6 picks. 
All Saints is all about the grunge look, so my first stop was their website. I find All Saints a bit out of my price range, but these two items seemed reasonable and All Saints never go out of fashion. 

Ear cuffs are everywhere, I may have popped into Topshop and nabbed myself a little one, but if you are more daring than me then scoot along to ASOS and check out their wide range of ear cuffs. The bigger and bolder the better!
