THE REVIEW

First of all, I do like this product overall. But...the lady at Estée Lauder didn't match me up correctly. You know when you get a woman to match you up who blatantly likes to look a lot more tanned than she is? And it worries you? But your British politeness keeps you quiet? Well, yeah.

The shade I have (tawny) is just too dark for me. But because I spent a lot on this foundation and I am a skint student, I am making it work for me. Which includes a lot of fake tan on the body and neck but none on the face.

But matching aside, the product itself has the best staying power ever. This foundation is perfect if you have a full-time job or work long hours and don't have time to touch up your make-up. I usually pop this on (with a bright light shining over me!) when I have a full day of lectures, and it lasts from 7.30am till I take it off at around 11pm. Amazing, right?

But, I have noticed the texture doesn't quite sit well with my type of skin. It goes on easily on the cheeks, but my forehead looks a little dry with this. Oh well.

I don't think I will be re-purhcasing, as I find myself reaching for my garnier BB cream more often on days where I have free time.
If I do then I am making sure the colour is right for me this time, whether it offends or not!

Have you tried this? What are your thoughts on it?

  1. I found the exact same things with this foundation. Too dark (even though I'm fairly certain I bought the palest one) and the texture was a bit off. Disappointed!

  2. I know, I am gutted about it. Nars sheer glow/Laura Mercier are definitely on my next wishlist!
